The House of Shields has a rich history and a few mysteries to its name. It was a speakeasy during the Prohibition era, and is rumored to have a secret passageway where patrons of the Palace Hotel could sneak across the street for a forbidden beverage (we won't confirm or deny).

Iron Horse Cocktail
25 Maiden Ln. San Francisco, Ca.
Inspired by the rich history of the most elegant street in downtown San Francisco, we have created a retro style bar and revived its historical name, Iron Horse.
Originally opened in 1954 as Iron Horse Restaurant by famous Bay Area restaurateur Leo Giorgetti, it was one of the city's top dining and drinking spots for over 20 years. Marilyn Monroe and hometown baseball hero, Joe DiMaggio, had their wedding reception here. Thus, Iron Horse became the first-rate city destination for anyone hoping to see and to be seen and we strive to keep this tradition nowadays.

DecoDance
1160 Polk St. San Francisco, Ca.
To step through the doors of DecoDance is to cross the threshold of a portal into the era of Dashiell Hammett’s San Francisco, but celebrated with the lavish glamour of Scott and Zelda Fitzgerald running amok in Art Deco 1920’s Paris. This is no speakeasy. Instead, one enters a space of bold shapes, geometric patterns, symmetrical lines, block colors, and flattering lighting, as designed by IG Project Group, under the leadership of Guila Ismagilova - winner of International Design Association award IDA - 2019. Her distinct vision has created a luxurious aesthetic as timeless and elegant as an Erte or Tamara de Lempicka painting.
